Adult Religious Education

Adult Religious Education (RE) provides an opportunity for intellectual and spiritual growth as well as taking action. We have met in Growth Groups to discuss the current theme of focus and have experienced a Personal Transformation group. We also meet several times a year to discuss works of common interest such as books from the UUA Common Read list (see https://www.uua.org/books/read) and spiritually relevant movies about current social issues such racism, economic inequality, and organizing to protect our values. Great benefit comes from sharing diverse viewpoints, broad life experiences, and our deepest personal insights in an open, trusting, and caring environment.

New UU Classes

A set of orientation classes are held quarterly at First Unitarian Church of Houston to introduce potential new members (or anyone interested) to our church and Unitarian Universalism. For more information, contact Tom Parker by sending an email to membership@uutapestry.org.
