Rev. Alisha Mills

Rev. Alisha Mills (she/her) joined Tapestry in April 2023, and we are thrilled to have her. She brings to our ministry a diverse set of skills from over ten years as a clinical chaplain and twenty years with children's spiritual formation. Alisha has a passion for inclusion, compassion, and wisdom traditions. Alisha is in the pulpit an average of two Sundays every month. Please see our Sunday Services page on this website for our schedule.

Alisha was inspired to a life in ministry while attending a Miami Valley UU Fellowship in Dayton, Ohio. She has a Master of Divinity from Earlham School of Religion, a Quaker seminary, in Richmond, Indiana. During seminary, Alisha moved to the United Church of Christ and after graduation was ordained and then Endorsed for Chaplaincy by the Fox Valley Association in Chicagoland. She also has four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from hospitals in the Chicagoland area.

Alisha has expressed “feeling pulled back to UU, which is where I started.” In addition to the part-time Minister role at Tapestry, Alisha serves as a PRN Chaplain for Memorial Herman Health System and is a life coach for neurodivergent kids, teens, and young adults with her small business, www.divergentspirit.com.

Alisha, her husband Todd (he/him), their two children, and three pets have lived in Houston since 2018 and they enjoy camping, stargazing, swimming, playing games, eating mom's great cooking and baking, and being outside in the awesome Texas heat! You can contact Rev. Alisha by emailing minister@uutapestry.org.
